Anyone can observe elections, except candidates on the ballot. There are changes to rules effective August 2025. Observers must register when they arrive. They cannot initiate conversations with voters, but they can assist voters when asked. They should limit discussion with poll workers as they have a job to do, but they can ask questions. Observers cannot use audio or video in the polling station. As a voter, if you feel an observer is not following rules, you should report to the poll manager.
