The League of Women Voters of Manitowoc County is a nonpartisan organization that does not support or oppose any candidate or political party. However, it does take positions and advocates for legislation after member study and agreement. (Read more about our mission here.)

The League has favored a school lunch program in the Manitowoc Public School District for approximately thirty years. People who support school lunch have donated to a separate League of Women Voters fund to help finance the newspaper ads listing the names of individuals, families and groups supporting school lunch. Only donations specifically intended for school lunch advocacy will be used for this purpose.
